The 5th Annual Chucks & Tux Fundraising Gala will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at one of Birmingham’s most beautiful and elegant event spaces – Haven.
Party-going philanthropist are excited about the new energy being felt throughout the city and are eagerly awaiting the next big event to enjoy during the spring months.
Chucks & Tux is Birmingham’s most highly anticipated social affairs of the year. The event is designed to attract a diverse mix of partygoers that include members of the philanthropic community, civic leaders, and both young and seasoned professionals.
Attendees are encouraged to wear Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers along with their formal attire to match the distinct flare of the event’s overall theme.
A unique element of the event is a silent auction that will feature custom designed Chuck Taylors created by winners from our Student Shoe Design Competition, in partnership with Birmingham City Schools, UAB Art & Art History Department, and the Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts.

Silent Auction
A unique feature of the event is a silent auction that will include custom-designed Chuck Taylors created by winners from our Student Shoe Design Contest – GKChucks. In partnership with the UAB Department of Art and Art History, students from Birmingham City high schools will have an opportunity to participate in a school district-wide shoe design contest that will showcase students’ artistic and creative abilities.
Host Committee
Chucks & Tux will feature a host committee consisting of representatives from our sponsors, as well as members of civic organizations, social clubs, and local politicians.
