Mentors are on the frontline with supporting, encouraging, and reinforcing behaviors in the lives of our youth; thus, we ensure that all individuals acting in the interest of Growing Kings are properly trained and well-qualified to be models of influence.

All mentors are required to complete an in-person training prior to their participation in the program sessions. The initial training is delivered in one day during a 2-hour workshop session. The training session is filled with dynamic lecturing, dialectic group discussions, interactive case studies, innovative technical presentations, and a host of other activities and exercises that provide additional opportunities to share and learn.
